SAVI SLIM by Savi – INTRODUCTION

SAVI SLIM by Savi – INTRODUCTION

Rather do only one extremely lengthy post at the conclusion – I have decided to post an INTRODUCTION detailing the product and the plan, and then at the end a RESULTS post with its grade and the calculations.

COMPANY INTODUCTION – Savi is a direct sales company headquartered out of Salt Lake City, Utah.  They have a small selection of project, with this being probably their most popular.  They hypothetically have a very strong formulator – which has developed product for major retail brands.

NOTE: Although, they are a direct sales company, please note that I am not a distributor for them, a consultant, or anything the like.  You will NOT be able to contact me to purchase this product or to really answer any questions.  In fact, the only reason this was reviewed is that I was given a bottle of it by a friend of mine and it was left in the cupboard – and I figured “Why not try it?”

INGREDIENTS – The product is formulated with three smaller blends combined, designed to 1) “stimulate thermogenesis” 2) “maintain normal blood sugar”, and 3) “support inflammation reduction.”  As usual sounds great.

As for the specific ingredients the primary active ones seems to be different sources of caffeine (Natural Caffeine, Guarana, Cocoa, Green Tea, Green Coffee).  This totals 193 grams of caffeine. Then there is some Chromium for sugar management – which I have never really considered as a sugar manager.  And then some ingredients for inflammation.

DIRECTIONS – The directions were simple – take three capsules with a glass of water.

PLAN -  I have already started.  Taking three capsules with my morning meal – about half the time before a work out and about half the time after a workout.  I then continue to track all my meals and exercises, making sure I continually maintain a calorie deficit.  I also continue to try to hit the gym three times a day for reasonable 30 min workouts – but on average only get there twice; focusing on weight loss cardio – and a little strength building.

WILD ROSE D-TOX – Gardens for Life – 12 Day Cleanse

WILD ROSE D-TOX – Gardens for Life – 12 Day Cleanse
GRADE – A-
OVERVIEW – This 12 day herbal cleanse from Gardens for Life contains one tincture, and three different bottles of detox formulas.  Two times a day, with breakfast and dinner, you are supposed to take 40 drops of the tincture, and two of each bottle.  This is followed for 12 days.
EXPERIENCE – The product has a “rose-like” smell to it, with a flowery hint.  It is easy to take, although the tincture is not a pleasant taste.  In fact, the tincture is probably the hardest part of the cleanse.
Unlike most cleanses, it is not a harsh cleanse – more a gentle cleanse.  You will experience a slight increase in volume and frequency, but nothing uncomfortable, intense, or otherwise.
I started this product weighing 259 – and ending it weighing 256.3 – with a total weight loss of 2.7 pounds over the 12 days.  This is not a sustainable weight loss – as I dipped to a lowest weight of 253 – primarily water weight, and then rebounded by the end to the sending 256.3.  Not great for weight loss, but not its intention.
I will say that I ultimately enjoyed the cleansing experience.  Again, not too intense, but enough of an experience to tell that it was working.  I felt an increase in energy and comfort within my digestion tract.
Overall for a cleanse, I would give it an A-, maybe a B+.  For a cleanse without digestive stimulants, it was pretty fantastic.  This was taken from 10/26/2015 – 11/7/2015.

My Introduction...

My introduction is simple.  I am a 32 year old man, who has struggled with weight most, if not all of his life.  The most I travel this journey, the more I think I am typical of many people who struggle with weight.

This is not intended to be a cry session, so I will keep this short.  I am currently 255 pounds. Although I live what I consider to be a very active life style, most of that is NOT muscle.  According to my ghetto scale I am at 39% body fat.  I run a couple half marathons a year, work out three times a day - study health and nutrition, avoid fast foods, eat whole foods, and never seem to really make any progress in losing weight.  There was one point when I lost 70 pounds in two years, but it was at a unique period in my life (and weight loss was not the goal).  I have seen Doctors who have said it is genetics - which it might be.  I have seen naturopaths - which have released emotions, healed things, and despite feel phenomenal, still no positive change.  I haven't given up - I have just had to start working on other things that can bring me a sense of contentment.

However, I still workout three times a day - following a reasonable pattern. I still eat just under 2000 calories a day - keeping at least 1000 calorie deficit a day.  And I have decided to try something new - more for fun rather than for actual results.

So here is the plan...
1) I will continue to work out regularly seeking to improve stamina, health, and strength - and it makes me feel good.  I will keep track of all of that.

2) I will continue to eat well - keeping track of all of that.

3) I will eliminate all of my supplements (vits. minerals, etc.) with the exception of some fish oil.

4) I will TEST as many weight loss, diet pills on the market - track their results, and see if any of them work.  I will do a complete cycle of each, as directed (maintaining exercise, eating right), and then post the result.

No pictures though - I am not going to be one of those guys with questionable pictures.  And let's be honest.  I am going to be pleased with a few pound difference.  I am not going into this expecting any miracle pictures within a month of each product.

I will also cycle in between each product with a cleanse to "reboot" the system - and I think cleansing is important.  Maintaining the same lifestyle, I will also review those as well.

Lets get started.

Sincerely,
O'Conner
